INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER! From FOX News anchor and author Harris Faulkner comes a collection of powerful, true-life stories of resilience, healing, rescue, and protection. We need reminders of God’s power now more than ever. We often think about prayer as a wish list, with God as Santa Claus. The reality is that the power of prayer reminds us not only how small we are, but also how big God is. Prayer is hope put into action. And prayer works. From the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Haiti to the theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado, believers testify to how God inspired hope even when all seemed lost. Two teenagers who were saved from treacherous seas by a vessel named Amen now give thanks for the rescue that changed their lives. A woman’s near-death experience with COVID-19 turned out to be the crisis freeing her from despair. Others speak to how prayer helped them navigate family trauma, overcome abuse, and cope with mental illness and depression. Historical accounts of miracles testify to God’s power throughout time, and Faulkner recounts the role of faith and prayer in her own life and the life of her father. Along with these stories of God’s presence, the book includes an exclusive packet of newly written prayers. Created to reflect the current times, this prayer booklet will provide a road map for putting the lessons of these stories into action. Faith Still Moves Mountains reminds us that God’s light always shines through the darkness. Through these testimonies, we learn prayer isn’t just a ritual, it’s a vital spiritual strategy in a world that wants us to give up the fight.

Life is an incredible journey with ups and downs. We soar, struggle, scale and stumble, and often stand at the edge of cliffs, afraid to step into the unknown, unsure of where we will land. But instead of running away, we are called by God to stand firm, muster up what faith we can, and take a step. Because we were made to move mountains. In this inspiring book, Kristen Welch calls you to step out in faith and climb the mountain in front of you--not because you are good enough or adequate or able, but because God makes a way where there is no way. With heartbreaking and hopeful personal stories, Scripture, and questions for contemplation, she draws you out of fear and into a holy confidence, showing you that the mountain in your path was put there on purpose, so that you could exercise--and grow--your faith.

God always keeps His promises, but not always in the way we expect…. “Have faith” is a phrase we hear all the time. But what does it actually look like to live it out? In The Mothers and Daughters of the Bible Speak, Shannon Bream examines the lives of biblical women to see how God’s plans can turn our worlds upside down. She tells the story of Jochebed, a mother who took enormous risks to protect her son, Moses, from Pharaoh. Could Jochebed have imagined that God’s actual design for her son involved flight into exile and danger? And yet this was all part of the master plan to deliver Israel from slavery. Another biblical mother, Rebekah, made terrible choices in an attempt to ensure her son’s place in history. And a daughter, Michal, struggled to keep her faithless father, Saul, from sin, while battling pride in herself. Through these stories, Shannon explains the intimate connection between faith and family—and how God’s unexpected agenda can redefine the way we think about family. Not all of these mothers and daughters in the Bible were paragons of virtue. Like us, they were human beings who faltered and struggled to do their best. While some heard God’s voice, others chose their own paths. Through the lens of their imperfections, we can see how God used their stories to bring about His divine plans. He’s still doing the same work in our lives today. The Mothers and Daughters of the Bible Speak shows that faith is more often a twisting road than a straight line. Yet, as the stories of biblical families attest, at the end of these journeys lies greater peace and joy than we could ever imagine. Supplemental enhancement PDF accompanies the audiobook.

The Women of the Bible Speak Book PDF/Epub Download

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER! The women of the Bible lived timeless stories—by examining them, we can understand what it means to be a woman of faith. People unfamiliar with Scripture often assume that women play a small, secondary role in the Bible. But in fact, they were central figures in numerous Biblical tales. It was Queen Esther’s bravery at a vital point in history which saved her entire people. The Bible contains warriors like Jael, judges like Deborah, and prophets like Miriam. The first person to witness Jesus’ resurrection was Mary Magdalene, who promptly became the first Christian evangelist, eager to share the news which would change the world forever. In The Women of the Bible Speak, Fox News Channel's Shannon Bream opens up the lives of sixteen of these Biblical women, arranging them into pairs and contrasting their journeys. In pairing their stories, Shannon helps us reflect not only on the meaning of each individual’s life, but on how they relate to each other and to us. From the shepherdesses of ancient Israel who helped raise the future leaders of the people of God, to the courageous early Christians, the narrative of the Bible offers us many vivid and fascinating female characters. In their lives we can see common struggles to resist bitterness, despair, and pride, and to instead find their true selves in faith, hope, and love. In studying these heroes of the faith, we can find wisdom and warnings for how to better navigate our own faith journeys. The Women of the Bible Speak outlines the lessons we can take from the valor of Esther, the hope of Hannah, the audacity of Rahab, and the faith of Mary. In broadening each woman’s individual story, Shannon offers us a deeper understanding of each, and wisdom and insights that can transform our own lives today.

The Emmy award-winning news anchor of Outnumbered Overtime with Harris Faulkner and co-host of the talk show Outnumbered shares the lessons she learned growing up in a military family paying homage to the military ideals that shaped her and showing how everyone can benefit from bringing the wisdom of military service into their lives. Born into a military family, Harris Faulkner revered her father, a decorated career officer who served three tours of duty in Vietnam and raised his children with the values and ideals of the U.S. military. Accompanying him from posting to posting, young Harris experienced firsthand how success in life was rooted in the knowledge, integrity, and leadership that came from her military surroundings. Indeed, these formative lessons in leadership and work ethic became the guiding principles for her career as a journalist, lessons she credits with her rise to become one of the top hosts on Fox News. Now, she shares the advice, wisdom, and tools that she absorbed through her military upbringing, examining how these ideals have shaped her professional and personal outlook and how everyone can incorporate them into their own lives. Using her father’s career as the backdrop to her experience, she explores the lessons in courage, duty, patriotism, and responsibility that helped her succeed, demonstrating the truth to the axiom that in military families everyone serves—together. Along the way she also interviews current and former military families, generals and other officers, and tells stories from her father’s career to illuminate how and why the message and mission of the military is so effective at changing lives both on and off the battlefield. Illustrated with sixteen pages of never-before-seen photos of her early life and career, this instructive book, part memoir, part motivational life guide, reminds us of our most important values—the keys to a successful life.

A New York Times bestseller. From FOX & Friends Weekend cohost Pete Hegseth comes a collection of inspiring stories from fifteen of America’s greatest heroes—highly decorated Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, marines, Purple Heart recipients, combat pilots, a Medal of Honor recipient, and more—based on FOX Nation’s hit show of the same name. After three Army deployments—earning two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman’s Badge—Pete Hegseth knows what it takes to be a modern warrior. In Modern Warriors he presents candid, unfiltered conversations with fellow modern warriors and digs for real answers to key questions like: What inspired them to serve? What is their legacy? What does sacrifice really mean to them? How do they handle loss? And what can civilians learn from this latest generation of veterans? From the skies over Afghanistan to the seas of the Mediterranean to the treacherous streets of Iraq, these brave men and women take you inside the firefight, sharing the harrowing realities of war. Hegseth uses their experiences to facilitate conversations about the raw truths of combat, including the difficulties of transitioning back home, while also celebrating these soldiers’ contributions to preserving our nation’s most precious gift—freedom. In addition to the oral history, Modern Warriors presents dozens of personal, rarely shared photos from the battlefield and the home front. Together these stories and images provide an unvarnished representation of battlefield leadership, military morale, and the strain of war. This book is the perfect keepsake and gift for anyone who wants to know what it means, and what it truly takes, to be a patriot.

The Faith That Moves Mountains: How to Have It, How to Use It, and How to Protect It is a Christian nonfiction book consisting of a theological reflection on Mark 11:2025. If you feel like you have a huge and intimidating mountain standing in front of you, if you feel like a huge wall prevents you from entering into your promised land, if you are currently facing a situation where you feel blocked from realizing your full potential and fulfilling your God-given destiny, this book is written for you. The purpose of the book is to reassure you that God has not forgotten you, even if it feels like so at times. That you have found yourself in precarious situations at one point or another in your life is not a result of Gods indifference toward you. This book reminds you that even before God brought you into this world, he made provisions in order for you to be able to deal with such circumstances. You must never lose sight of the fact that God loves you and his plan is not for the mountains of life to remain in your way forever without you being able to do something about it. In this book, I will teach you about the nature of the faith that moves mountains. I will try to explain the nature of that faithhow to have it, how to use it, and how to protect it. I want you to realize that you dont always have to put up with things that prevent you from moving forward in your life and toward your God-given destiny. I encourage you to keep this in mind: not knowing whether or not something negative is happening to you is part of how God is working in your life. You need to pray and make your desire known to God. As Gods servant, you never need to hide your frustration from him and shy away from letting the one who loves you know what you need. My prayer is that, after realizing how powerful faith in God is, you may put yours into good use. God did not put us in this world without carefully equipping us for every challenge we would face. God has not created us either as simple tools he can use whenever or for whatever he wants. Rather, God has made us acting beings able to do thingsand in fact the things which he himself does. God created us in his image and has made us his associates in looking after everything he created. Discover the power of faith in God, and triumph over the mountains of life.

I had never read the Bible before 'til that day I turned forty years old. We were going through some hard times, and I took our big, dusty Bible down from the mantel to see if I could find some answers there. And as I opened it up, the words jumped up off the pages and hung there in the air. He got a hold of me right then and there and then blessed me with the gift of verse that I might, in this way, bless his Holy Name. It's now been over forty years since that day, and this is book 9 of the poetry that he has blessed me to write. I am presently working on poem book number 10. Thus far, I have written over 1,500 poems. God has blessed me with so many miracles that I cannot praise him enough. I take everything to him in prayer with faith in believing, and I know that he answers in his own way that I may receive his best and of his Holy Name. I will continue to write to his glory as long as I have the breath of life. He continues to fill my soul with his blessings and miracles as I give to him, through these poems, all the glory and praise. Amen. PS. The bureau of motor vehicles sends me the POET license plate every year and have done so for many years.

Pieces Into Place A Story of Faith Prayer and God s Ultimate Plan for a Family Book PDF/Epub Download

Do you ever struggle with the question "Is God real?" If you are like most Christians, we struggle with questions like these at some point in our lives. Is my faith strong enough to see God work in my life? Did God forget about me? Why can I see God working in others around me, but why don't I see God working in my life? Pieces in Place is Matt and Ellen's personal journey, and a testament to God's hand being on every single piece of their lives. During Covid 19, their faith was not only tested but it was also transformed as they watched the miracles in life unfold in front of them, especially in the "faith still moves mountains" moments. It's an encouragement and reminder that although we don't see how God is working in the pieces of our lives, they are all part of His plan to bring them together perfectly. It demonstrates how His plans are always bigger than ours, and how He is at work, even when we can't see it, feel it, or understand it. We can learn to trust God more and increase our faith as we catch glimpses of God at work in Matt and Ellen's story.
