Everybody Worries Book PDF/Epub Download

Even the bravest of the brave and the coolest of the cool worry. Worrying is normal when so much has changed. Inspired by conversations with his parent friends who weren't sure how to explain what is happening right now to their small children, artist and writer Jon Burgerman decided to do something to help. I decided to write a book about worry and stress and how normal it is and how we can try and mitigate it. I think we might not acknowledge that small children worry as much as they do. Without a means of expressing their anxieties the stress can manifest and have adverse effects. It's important to talk openly about what is going on and that the feelings we're experience are being felt by a lot of people, and that by sharing and caring for each other we can try and make it a little better.

Hope where are you Book PDF/Epub Download

"Hope, Where Are You?" is the story of six children around the world who are experiencing school closures during COVID-19. Each story follows a similar pattern of frustration/challenge, finding their hope and importantly spreading their hope to others. Along with the six main characters, you will also find the illustrated characters of 'Hope' and 'Germ' who add a comedic twist. Armand Doucet and Elisa Guerra, as globally recognized and award-winning teachers, saw the impact of school closures on children around the world and wanted to help change the narrative and give children and families hope. They collaborated to write a children’s book “Hope, Where Are You?” illustrated by Ana Ragu (Elisa’s daughter). Numerous other volunteer educators from around the world have also joined the project to help translate the text and promote the key messages of hope. The book is written by volunteers, illustrated by volunteers and has been translated by volunteers into over 30 different languages. If you enjoyed the story donations are encouraged to the UNICEF COVID-19 response.

The Little Corona King Book PDF/Epub Download

An ebook explaining the coronavirus to primary and preschool children in a gentle and positive way with a happy ending and extra resources. Written by a teacher and mother of four, this book will put the coronavirus into context for young children. The Little Corona King is a children's book aimed at primary and preschool children to help explain to them about the coronavirus in a gentle and positive way. The book is written by Number 1 bestselling children's author Ellie Jackson, author of the true Wild Tribe Heroes series of books about ocean plastic, palm oil and climate change. Her books are highly acclaimed and have reached over a million children so far and Ellie is used to writing about real global issues without overwhelming or scaring children. Ellie is a mother of four young children under 10 and has a background as a teacher both of which have given her experience in pitching her books at the right level so as to promote discussion, engage and inspire children to get involved in helping make a difference. The Little Corona King was born out of a growing global concern for the impact of the coronavirus on all of us as well as understanding that parents and teachers need to explain new ideas to their children in a positive way about how to tackle the virus. Writing and illustrating the book has taken place over the course of 4 days and is the first children's book in the world that is discussing the coronavirus. It includes relevant, up to date information taken from reliable government websites such as the NHS and the story can be amended as more developments occur. This book is not a scaremongering tactic nor is it wanting people to panic. It is a tool for parents to use to engage their children with simple health practices such as hand washing, changing routines or habits, reasons why things are different, helping them adjust to school closures or self-isolation if needed etc although some of these are left deliberately vague so as to encourage normality as much as possible.

We (Nairy, Jenny, Sabrina) have written and illustrated an educational children's book about COVID-19 Safety for kids aged 4-10 years and their families. We hope that through the rhymes and colourful pictures told through the lens of fictional animal characters, our children's book may function as an educational tool that creatively communicates to families the COVID-19 safety precautions and resources to alleviate misunderstandings or fears while providing support through information. This book was developed through extensive collaborations and revisions by several medical/healthcare students, as well as Ronald McDonald House at SickKids, members in publishing programs, and with guidance from Dr. Stacey Bernstein, Dr. Tanvi Agarwal, and Dr. Vitor Guerra. All revenue from our online book sales will be used to fund the printing and distribution of books given as gifts to pediatric patients and their families whom are currently at Children's hospitals around Ontario. We will further expand distribution to as many hospitals, schools and communities as possible, given the resources we have.
